MEDIA DO has grown through deep engagement with local communities, supported by the strength of those communities.Today, we work alongside a diverse group of regional stakeholders to advance a wide range of projects, including entrepreneurship support and professional sports. All of these initiatives are made possible by a strong foundation of trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, media organizations, financial and educational institutions, and private companies. Through close collaboration across these sectors, we continue to drive regional revitalization initiatives together.

Vital information and local challenges naturally converge within key regional institutions, including government agencies, financial institutions, and media organizations. Each of these entities engages with the future of their region from the perspective of their respective roles, responsibilities, and influence. In addition, support for regional areas from the national government and urban centers has steadily continued and accelerated over many years.
However, what matters most is that change begins from within each community. It starts with local residents recognizing and valuing their own regional assets. Even more importantly, they must possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to apply those assets effectively and drive positive change from within their communities.
In 2020, MEDIA DO established the Tokushima Innovation Base (TIB) in collaboration with local government, media organizations, and financial institutions in Tokushima Prefecture to nurture entrepreneurs. Building on this model, we launched xIB JAPAN in 2023 to support the nationwide expansion of Innovation Base (IB), an entrepreneurial support network designed to spread the TIB approach across Japan. By the end of fiscal year 2026, the IB network is expected to expand to 26 prefectures, reaching more than half of the country. As part of our broader regional revitalization efforts, MEDIA DO also operates the TOKUSHIMA GAMBAROUS, a men’s professional basketball team competing in Japan’s B.LEAGUE. The club is jointly funded by 23 companies with strong ties to Tokushima and plays a central role in bringing excitement and shared pride to the entire region. By developing scalable models for regional initiatives and expanding them nationwide, MEDIA DO aims to work alongside local communities to grow the Sustainability Creation movement across Japan.
